P1038 - Vitamin & Mineral Claims & Sodium Claims about Food containing Alcohol

The purpose of the Proposal is to address an inconsistency in the conditions for vitamin and mineral claims between Standards 1.2.7 and 1.3.2 and to permit nutrition content claims about salt and sodium in relation to foods (excluding beverages) containing more than 1.15% alcohol by volume.

A605 - Yeast Mannoproteins as a Food Additive for Wine

The purpose of this application is to permit the use of low molecular weight mannoproteins prepared from yeast cell wall as a food additive for wine to inhibit potassium bitartrate crystallisation. Using mannoproteins as a food additive is an alternative for the common time-consuming and expensive wine treatment for removing potassium bitartrate.
