Board Risk Management Policy

The FSANZ Risk Management Policy (the Policy) describes the Board’s overall intent and direction for managing risk, communicating why risk management is important, who is accountable and how the principles of risk management apply. The Policy communicates the Board’s risk appetite as well as sets the tone from the top, outlining objectives, vision and principles.

The Policy is reviewed at least every year or when there are significant changes to the agency’s structure, legislative obligations or risk environment.

Board Risk Appetite Statement

The Risk Appetite Statement sets the amount of risk the FSANZ Board is willing to accept in order to achieve agency objectives.

It summarises the Board’s appetite for risk across a range of agency activities which underpin achievement of our strategic goals, support delivery of government outcomes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements for efficient and effective public governance.

The statement is dynamic and reviewed on an annual basis.
