Data collection methods
Data is collected annually, during October and November, from:
- brand owners via GS1 Australia's National Product Catalogue (NPC), Salsify SKUvantage's SKUlibrary, or the FSANZ data portal
- in-store data collection undertaken by FSANZ at major retailers Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and Metcash.
A proportion of the data collected annually is audited to ensure data accuracy and currency.
