There are currently three options available for brand owners to provide product information to the BFD.
Via GS1 Australia
GS1 National Product Catalogue (NPC) users can publish product data to FSANZ via the NPC free of charge. GS1 Australia is available to assist you with updating your product information and becoming data ready.
Via Salsify SKUvantage
Brand owners who manage their product information using Salsify SKUlibrary can export their data into a format compatible with the FSANZ BFD submission process at no cost. This provides an efficient way to prepare product data for submission to FSANZ.
Via the FSANZ Branded Food Database Portal
Brand owners can also provide product data directly through the FSANZ Branded Food Database Portal and associated Excel template at no cost. The portal allows you to enter, update and submit product information online. Product data prepared through Salsify SKUlibrary can also be uploaded using the portal.
Data ownership
Brand owners retain ownership of the data they provide, with the use of the data by FSANZ being governed by specific terms and conditions.
