Risk assessments associated with the development of applications or proposals to change the Food Standards Code may only be available on the relevant application or proposal page.

All FSANZ decisions on applications and proposals are notified to ministers responsible for food regulation who can decide to ask for a review or agree that the standard should become law. If ministers don’t seek a review, the changes are registered as legislative instruments in Australia on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments and gazetted.

​​​​​​Notification Circulars contain information that FSANZ is required to publish under the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act 1991.
