FSANZ Board Outcome
The Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Board held a meeting on 29 April 2026 to discuss and decide on standards matters. The meeting communique is now available.
Approval - Food Ministers' Meeting notification
FSANZ has approved variations arising from the following applications and proposal on 29 April 2026. FSANZ has notified this approval to the Food Ministers’ Meeting:
- A1304 - Endo-1,4-beta-xylanase from Bacillus licheniformis (gene donor: Chryseobacterium cucumeris) for use as a processing aid
- A1305 - Apha-amylase from Bacillus licheniformis (containing the gene for alpha-amylase from the gene variant ANZ105) as a processing aid
- A1332 - Cross-linked polyester resins as an adsorbent processing aid in wine
- M1023 - 2024 MRL Harmonisation Proposal
The Food Ministers’ Meeting now has 60 days to either request FSANZ to review the approved standard or inform FSANZ that it does not intend to request a review. Further information on the process is available from the FSANZ website: The Food Ministers' Meeting.
