Proposal P274 - Review of minimum age labelling of foods for infants
Proposal P274 - Review of minimum age labelling of foods for infants Proposal P274 aimed to align the labelling requirements of Standard 2.9.2 - Infant Foods of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code) with infant feeding guidelines in Australia and New Zealand. Work on the Proposal began in 2003 after the Ministerial Council at the time asked us to review Standard 2.9.2, following release of the 2003 NHMRC Infant Feeding Guidelines for Health Workers. Completion of the project was delayed twice:
- firstly in 2004 due to competing priorities, and
- again in 2008 while the 2003 NHMRC (Australian) infant feeding guidelines were being updated.
