Gazette notices

All FSANZ decisions on applications and proposals are notified to ministers responsible for food regulation who can decide to ask for a review or agree that the standard should become law. If ministers don’t seek a review, the changes are registered as legislative instruments in Australia on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments and gazetted.

Gazette notices are published below. The notice is usually published in New Zealand on the same day. Notices were previously published by the Australian Government as either a 'Periodic' or 'Special' Commonwealth Gazette. FSANZ has published notices from Amendment No.59.

You can email standards.management@foodstandards.gov.au if you need a hard copy of a notice. Hard copies are also available from major Australian libraries that participate in the Library Deposit Scheme. The Standards Management Officer can provide information on participating libraries.
