Recall of baby spinach products

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has been advised the recalled baby spinach products, that may have potential contamination, appears to have come from a single source.

The following products identified to date have been recalled:

FSANZ is working through the supply chain with relevant jurisdictions to ensure any other affected products are identified.

consumers should not eat the recalled products and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice, and refer to their local state health authority.

FSANZ CEO Dr Sandra Cuthbert said FSANZ continues to partner closely with the state food authorities regarding the recalls.

“Food safety is a priority of FSANZ, and we are working closely with all state jurisdictions to ensure consumers are provided the most up to date information.'

“As investigations continue more recalls may be issued and consumers should monitor the FSANZ recalls page. Once the investigation is complete and all potentially impacted products have been identified, FSANZ will let consumers know.'
