Assigning foods and portions to AUSNUT 2011–13 data
Assigning dietary supplements consumed to AUSNUT 2011–13 data
To be able to estimate food, dietary supplement and nutrient intakes from the 2011–13 Australian Health Survey (AHS), information is needed on the nutrient content of the foods and dietary supplements consumed and how much of a food or dietary supplement a person has eaten. A coding or classification system is also needed to group similar foods and dietary supplements for reporting purposes.
All foods, measures and dietary supplements in AUSNUT 2011–13 reflect the foods, dietary supplements and food portions consumed during the 2011–12 National Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey (NNPAS) and the 2012‒13 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey (NATSINPAS) components of the AHS.
