This application seeks to require a health advisory label on alcoholic beverage containers advising of the risks of consuming alcohol when planning to become pregnant and during pregnancy.
Work on this application has been deferred at the request of the applicant due to the overlap of the application with Recommendation 25 from the Independent Review of Food Labelling Law and Policy. See information about the Labelling Review.
In October 2018, the Australia New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation referred this matter to FSANZ for consideration. Read about Proposal 1050
