Appendix 4 – Outcomes and Outputs Structure
Our reporting framework is divided into Outcomes and Outputs. These are contained in thePortfolio Budget Statements 2006-07of the Health and Ageing Portfolio of the Australian Government.
Our reporting outcomes are linked with those of the Department of Health and Ageing:
FSANZ reports against its outcome in the FSANZ annual report. In addition, we provide timely and relevant briefings to the Government and Parliament through Senate Estimates hearings, Questions on Notice and other formal requests for information. We publish our assessments of risks to the food supply and post this information on our website to ensure that our work reaches the public domain.
In terms of the Portfolio Budget Statement 2006-07, we have two outputs that contribute to our agency outcome, containing a number of performance indicators:
