| All Woolworths Lamb Products except for QLD where the only products affected are; Lamb and Cheese Rissoles, Lamb Mini Roast and Economy Burgers Purchased between 27/05/08 and 05/06/08 and with a use by dates of 31/05/08 to 23/06/08 (QLD 07/06/08 to 14/06/08) at any Woolworths/Safeway Supermarket. Woolworths/Safeway Limited wishes to advise its customers that it has initiated a consumer level recall on lamb products sold from supermarkets. The reason for the recall is as a precaution only. The recall follows the detection of a strange odour coming from a number of lamb products processed by GM Scott in Cootamundra. Lamb products with a use by date between 31/05/08 to 23/06/08 and 07/06/08 to 14/06/08 for QLD only may have been exposed to these vapours . There are no reports of consumer illness or injury. Any customers who may still have unused lamb products of the above description – either in their refrigerators or freezers -0 should not consume the product, but return the product to their nearest Woolworths/Safeway Supermarket for a full cash refund. This is an isolated incident and the recall does not affect lamb products currently on sale.
