FSANZ is a small science-based organisation. Enquiries about the Food Standards Code are often complex. For this reason it’s often better to use our contact us form.
We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible. Responses can take up to a week for a simple enquiry or two-four weeks for a complex one. We respond to enquiries in the order they come in and appreciate your patience.
FSANZ has developed a number of user guides to help manufacturers, retailers and food officers interpret and apply the Food Standards Code.
If you have a food complaint you should contact your state or territory food safety agency or department. Complaints about food in New Zealand should be directed to the Ministry for Primary Industries.
